Based in Garden City, Idaho, Richard Childress is a design-focused architect with 33 years of experience. He has completed projects across the American West and is currently registered in Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, and New Jersey. As an innovative professional, Richard works with clients to polish and enhance their ideas before bringing them to life. Richard seeks to produce designs that are infused with elegance and functionality.
Richard enjoys working with clients to ensure that finished projects meet client goals, abide by project budgets, and contain the art of architecture. He performs both computer-assisted design work and traditional, hand-drawn design artistry.
Richard earned undergraduate degrees in architecture and environmental design from Lehigh University and Montana State University, and a Master of Architecture degree from Montana State University. He co-founded Point Architects in 2004. Richard spent many years as a volunteer public servant for the Garden City Planning and Zoning Commission, Design Review Committee and the Committee for Zoning Code Re-Write. Outside work, he enjoys skiing, fly-fishing, mountain biking, and Boise State football.
